Refund Policy

BugIt is a licensed product from Taskivator. This policy explains when a purchase can be refunded.

7-Day Refund Window

You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if any of the following apply:

  • BugIt does not work as advertised
  • A reproducible technical issue prevents normal use
  • Support cannot resolve the issue within the 7-day refund window

We may ask for a short description of the problem and the steps you have already tried, so support can confirm the issue or help you resolve it first.

When a Refund Is Not Available

Refunds are generally not available for:

  • Change of mind
  • Purchasing by mistake
  • Failure to meet the documented system requirements
  • Requests submitted after the 7-day window has passed

Before buying, please review the requirements: Visual Studio Code, an AI provider (GitHub Copilot or your own OpenAI or Anthropic key), and a supported version of Python. BugIt does not include an AI model or subscription.

When a Full Refund Is Approved

A full refund reverses the whole purchase, so the license it paid for is retired:

  • The associated license is permanently revoked
  • Future activations with that license stop
  • Future updates for that license stop
  • Support tied to that license ends

Partial Refunds

Sometimes only part of a purchase is refunded, such as a price adjustment or a goodwill credit while you carry on using BugIt. A partial refund is not a cancellation:

  • Your license stays active and keeps working
  • Activations, updates and support continue as normal
  • If several partial refunds together add up to the full purchase price, the purchase counts as fully refunded and the license is retired at that point

Card Disputes and Chargebacks

If you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse the payment, we are notified and we record the dispute, but nothing is switched off automatically. Your license keeps working while a dispute is open, and it is not revoked by the outcome on its own. Emailing support first is almost always faster: a dispute takes weeks to resolve and gives us no way to reach you about the underlying problem.

How to Request a Refund

Email support@bugit.dev from the account used for the purchase, within 7 days, and describe the problem. Please do not include confidential source code, customer data, private tickets, or secrets. We will confirm the outcome by email.

For sales in Japan, the seller and transaction information required under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions is set out here: Commercial Transactions. The seller's legal name, business address and telephone number are provided without delay on request before purchase.

This policy covers refunds only and does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
